TMOM Dallas 2026: Answering the Call to Care
April 21, 2026
Our generous and very appreciated 2026 TMOM Dallas Sponsors! We could not achieve this success without you!
Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS) member dentists played a leading role in supporting the 2026 Texas Mission of Mercy (TMOM) in Dallas, continuing a strong tradition of service and collaboration to expand access to care for those who need it most. Hosted by the DCDS Foundation, in partnership with the TDA Smiles Foundation, this year’s clinic brought together more than 800 volunteers and four dental laboratories (Dental Plus, Griffin Dental, Digital Esthetic Solutions and Helm Dental) to plan and deliver essential dental services to underserved patients across North Texas.
From early planning to the final patient of the day, DCDS dentists and team members were involved at every stage—pre-screenings, radiology, triage, prosthodontics, treatment, supply coordination and mentoring dental students. Their coordinated efforts ensured a steady, efficient flow of care for individuals who often face significant barriers to treatment.
The impact was immediate and meaningful: 817 patients were served through 5,562 treatments worth an estimated $906,000 in donated care.
Patients received critical services, often relieving long-standing pain and restoring both function and confidence. In many cases, the care provided in just a matter of hours made a lasting difference in quality of life.
Despite the scale and pace of the clinic, operations remained smooth and highly organized, reflecting the experience and dedication of the volunteers. Collaboration across stations allowed the team to maximize patient access while maintaining high standards of care.
For DCDS members, the experience was both professionally rewarding and personally impactful. It also highlighted the DCDS Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving oral health access throughout Texas—demonstrating, once again, the power of organized dentistry to meet real community needs.
